Fully Tempered Glass

Fully Tempered Glass

Fully tempered glass is a safety glass that combines high strength with a safe breakage pattern. With its resistance to mechanical loads and sudden temperature changes, it meets the performance expectations of architectural projects.

With its high production capacity, Camglass manufactures flat and bent tempered glass in project-specific dimensions, forms and radii. Drilling, notching, screen printing and enamel painting options can be included in production.

Tempered glass can be used as monolithic glass or further processed into laminated or insulating glass as required. This allows safety, insulation and design requirements to be combined in a single glass build-up.

Production is carried out in accordance with TS EN 12150. On request, heat soak testing can be applied according to TS EN 14179.

Key Features

High Strength

Offers approximately 5 times the strength of standard glass.

Safe Breakage

Breaks into small, blunt fragments, reducing the risk of injury.

Thermal Shock Resistance

Highly resistant to sudden temperature changes.

Related Production Processes

Before tempering: Cutting and edge grinding; drilling, countersinking and CNC processing according to the fixing detail. Since tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled afterwards, all dimensions and processing are completed at this stage. For the ceramic printing option, printing is completed before heat treatment.

After tempering: Heat Soak Test (HST) can be applied as required by the project. This is followed by lamination or insulating glass assembly, ensuring dimensional and flatness compatibility between the layers.
